Torrie slowly strode through the park, kicking up the leaves that dared enter her path. Ever since her time ended at her previous boarding school, she just wasn't the same. The disappearance of her buddy didn't help much either. She was deep in thought, the brisk fall wind surrounding her. She pulled her sweater closer to her and took a sip of her Timmie's coffee. She didn't much care for any other kind of coffee, but getting in between her and the closest Tim Horton's could be really dangerous. She smiled a bit but then let her mind wander. She saw a teenager walk past her, chains hanging from her jeans, black baggy sweater, dark eyeliner. She remembered when she used to dress like that. Those were the days. Although then her best friend was still alive. She shoved her hand into the pouch pocket of her hoodie, running her fingers over the delicate sides of the picture that hid there. It was of her best friend, a couple hours before the shooting. She sighed heavily, re-encountering the scene of pure terror. She quickly pushed them out of her mind and walked toward the little pond in the park. She sat on the cold ground, a shiver working it's way up her spine. She began tossing rocks into the depths of the water, ripples moving about the placid surface.

The walls close in on her, her arms pinned behind her, her pupils were small as the red and blue lights flashed, now etched in her memories.Hearing her mother and father argue, she heard them say enough is enough.Sighing, she closed her orbs, but soon wrenched them open once more as the door opened.Climbing out of the police car, a few duffle bags were thrown to her feet while her hands were uncuffed, containing all her clothes.Looking towards her parents darkly, she closed her eyes and felt Scorpios leash placed in her clenched fingers.Sighing, she threw herself away from the painful memory.
Sighing, she clenched her teeth together and charged forward through the cold winds that were throwing her toffee tainted feathers about in the airs above her.Squiting against the wind, she watched the goth walk past her and found a stabbing in her chest.Shaking her crania in a hard, jerking motion, she focuse don the pond and saw a girl sitting there.Tightening her grip on the black leash, she let Scorpio drag her to the pond.Sitting on the ground slowly, she winced at the crunching of the small fragments of ice on grass as she settled.Seeing the other a bit next to her, she said, You own the farm outside of town right? I`m Casey. comments: a bit rough, hope its ok

No problem Torrie took another sip of her luke warm coffee, letting it slide down her throat. She was captivated by the reflections on the pond, dancing about like flames almost. She was slightly startled by another female's voice appearing. She smiled slightly, hugging her knees and coffee closer to her, in hopes of warming a little. She watched the dog {?} frollic in the preciely trimmed grass. It sort of reminded her of Bailey, her friends dog. Yeh, I do. I'm Torrie. She said somewhat sceptically. She didn't really have many people who knew her by her house. Did you want a stall or something? She would be happy to lease her a stall if she needed. She hadn't really had any activity around the barn for a while. Ever since.... no she wasn't going to think about it. She smiled as the dog approached her causiously, patting it's head. She fished out a dog buiscut from her pocket. Yes, she had treats in her pocket for dogs and horses. Do you mind if I give this to him?

Smiling slightly, she scooted closer so she could hear here over the slightly howling winds that framed her tassels around her pale face.Widening her orbs, she took in the girls appearence as she hugged her jacket closer.Shaking her head as she heard her question, she looked up and said,
No, sorry.I was asking because one of my friends from a while back that races horses has a stable down the road from your place.He`s got a real nice stallion, a beauty.
Her eyes becoming misty as she thought of Sweep, she shook her head again and watched Scorpio.Someday his training would be done and he would be in the sire of many beautiful pups through his lines.Smiling slightly, she fixed his collar as she heard the next question.Nodding adsentmindly, she pushed the dog gently away.

Torrie knew who she was talking about, somewhat. She tended to stay locked up in her office or going on crosscountries, so she didn't really pay attention to the world around her.
I've heard of that barn, but I haven't had the chance to go down to see it. Do you go to school here?
{Sorry it's lreally really short I've gotta go. }

Flipping her hair out of her face, the wind died down in that instance.The flurries fell around Scorpio`s muzzle making him look like a snow dog.Smiling at him she ruffled her crania and listened to the other girl.Nodding her head slightly she said, Yea I just got here though.I`m actually kinda looking for a horse.

Torrie nodded to her statement, she began to think. She did know a friend who had some horses that he wanted to sell. She finally turned her head towards Casey.
You know, I have a friend who owns a whole bunch of throughbreds, and he's willing to sell some. Would you like me to ask him? He's coming over to my place today with a horse.
She knew it was kind of strange, but she was going to end up with this horse if she didn't take it. She took a last sip of her cold coffee, before folding the cup.

Hearing about some horses for sale, her mind began to spin at the thought of a new horse.Fiongering the thought, she nodded and smiled, watching Scorpio play as she said, Sure, just tell me the time and I`ll be there. Stanidng up, she pulled a small pencil and napkin form her pocket and wrote down her cell number and handed it to her .

Torrie smiled, not surprised at her acceptance. His farm actually wasn't too far away either, so if she didn't like the horse that came today, Torrie could bring her to the farm. She pulled out her cell phone and brought up the calendar programme. She leafed through the rest of her plans for the day until she found what she was looking for. She pulled out a small paper from her pocket and scribbled down 1:30. She also scribbled down her adress and her cell number just incase.
He'll probably be a bit late, but he's bringing a really nice thoroughbred. Oh, and don't pet the cats, they are strays.
