Damen walked into the caf, his backpack gaining pounds by the minute, or at least it seemed that way. He found a vacant table and set his heavy pack happily. He slid onto the bench and went through his belongings. He had just come from a terrible english class and was glad it was over. He had a spare second period and he planned to just hang out around the caf. He also had some projects due. He pulled out his binders and textbook and set up a place for himself to work. He sighed heavily before beginning to work on his math project. He angrily put everything back into his back pack, knowing he wouldn't beable to do this, and walked over to the Tim's outlet.
Can I get a small double double and a peanut butter cookie please?
He paid his usual cash and brought it back to another table. He sat quietly, observing the many different people in this school.

Finally math was over. Her math teacher was the meanest lady she had ever met in her life!! she was lucky enough to have a spare this period. Normally grade 10's weren't aloud to have spares but her parents had pulled some strings. she walked into the caf and headed straight for the Tim Horton's stand. she was in great need of some hot chocolate. she didn't drink coffee but hot chocolate always helped.
Can i have a medium hot chocolate and 5 timbits please, i don't care what kind....oh but not the ones you feed to the dogs.
she always said this when she ordered timbits. when you went up to the drive threw at Timmie's u can ask for a timbit for your dogs if there in the car with you, she didnt care that this Timmie's didn't have a drive threw. she got her hot chocolate and timbits and looked around at the tables. there was no one but a boy that looked to be about a year older then her, well if she was going to have a spare this period all semester she might as well make friends with someone who also had a spare, unless he was a skipper but that didn't really matter. She walked over to him confidently and looked down at him with a smile.
mind if i join you? i have timbits.
she said politely shacking the box of timbits. there weren't many but it was worth a try she could always go get more...and that wouldn't be hard because timbits were very addictive.

Damen continued to stare off into space until he had finished his cookie and felt his cell vibrate. He pulled it out, only finding a text from one of his friends flashing up. He read it quickly before putting his black motorola razor into his pocket again. He sipped his coffee slowly and carefully. The silence was broken by a girls voice. He brought his mind back and relized she was right infront of him.
Uhh, sure
He said, a slight accent apparent. He came from england as a child, so the accent was still with him, although very diluted. He heard her bribe of timbits but shook his head.
It's okay, I just ate but thanks. I'm Damen, you?

she was happy that he had accepted. she heard his light accent and her heart stopped, she always had a soft spot for accents. she laughed to herself and sat down in the chair across from him. He was hot thats for sure.
I'm Dylan, I hear you have an accent where are you from?
she always got straight to the point and didn't wait for much to go on before asking questions. she always spoke her mind...unless it was about a guy being good looking, she kept that to herself.

He smiled a bit, hearing her laughter, but blushed a little at her question. He tried to hid his accent because all he wanted to do was fit in, but it couldn't be hidden from her.
It's a british accent. I'm from England, although i've lived in Canada for six years.
He took another sip of his coffee before he was interupted by a rude look flashed to him by one of the jocks.

she say him blush and laughed a little. that was so cute. she liked a sensitive guy.
wow thats awesome, i love england.
she had traveled there with her parents many times, since that was the place where the 2 top events in the world were located. she saw the look the jock made and made a disgusted face. jocks always thought they ran the place.
What was that all about?
she thought out loud. she wasn't really asking anyone but if he answered that would be fine. Maybe there was a reason for the jocks actions.

Damen smiled at her love of england. He did fancy england himself too, although he wasn't there for the events. He was there because his father owned some of the most successful race horses in europe.
I see you don't care for jocks either? I would have been sure that you had a boyfriend in that clique.
He laughed a little to himself, but quickly returned back to their conversation.
I was apparently sitting in his seat during english. He got a touch angry with me.
Being the kind of person he was, he didn't have a bad thing to say about him.
Hey, don't I have history with you? Or do you have a look alike. Fourth period?

She was flattered that he thought she was pretty enough to be going out with one of those guys. she had tried that before but they were all jerks.
Naa, been there done that.
ahhh another one of the flaws about having over achiever parents. not only did she have a spare like most grade 11's but she was forced into taking grade 11 history.
Yea..im in grade 10 but my parents forced me into taking grade 11 history. i don't know how they managed that. That amaze me sometimes.
Her parents only wanted what was best for her she new that, but sometimes she wish she could make her own decisions.

He chuckled as he finished his double double. He sighed sadly into his empty cup, sad it was all gone. He looked up and smiled as he heard that she was in that class.
I thought I recognized you. I love history, so it's not so bad.
He was surprised that she was only in grade ten. She seemed like a grade eleven. He played with his empty cup, then his face lit up.
Dylan, do you have a partner for the assignment? If not, do you want to go with me?
Of course a girl like her would have a partner already, but as he didn't know anyone, and didn't have a partner, he thought he'd ask.

she had tried to push that assignment out of her mind, but when he offered to be her partner all her worries about it faded and her face lit up with happiness.
Yes of course! I don't know anyone in that class so i had no idea what i was going to do.
She had worried so much over it she hadn't gotten much sleep the night before. she really thought she was going to fail which meant being switched to grade 10 history. that couldn't happen her parents would be to upset. some people thought it was bad having an older sibling to live up to, but try living up to two parents that were in the Olympics!

Damen was quite happily surprised that Dylan didn't have a partner yet. He was also shocked to find out that she was in the same boat. Although, he actually got it. The project was to create a story about WWI. He smiled as he glanced at the clock. Wow time flies.
That's great! I've sort of started already, but it isn't good at all. Do you want to swing by the courtyard thing in fornt of the dorms tonight to work on it?
He pulled out his cell to punch it in. He knew the bell was going to ring soon for lunch and he still had lots to do.

She took out her cell and looked tat the time. she had to get going if she was going to meet her friends in time for lunch. In the middle of her thought she heard a familiar voice and a hand touched her shoulder. She looked up at Mitch and smiled. Her and Mitch had been friends forever, he had started taking lessons at her parents farm when he was 7 and they had been friends ever since.
Hey you what are you doing out of class?
She said punching him playfully.
My teacher let us out early, Julie had to run to her dorm quickly so i said I'd come find you.
It wasn't hard to find her, she would either be in the barn or wherever there was food. she smiled at the thought of her other friend Julie who was in the same class as Mitch second period. she turned to Damen quickly.
Yea that sounds great how about after dinner?
She smiled at him but then realized how rude she was being for not introducing Mitch. she didn't want Damen to get the wrong idea.
Ohhh. and this is my friend Mitch and Mitch this is Damen he's in my grade 11 History class.
Mitch smiled warmly at Damen and then turned to Dylan.
Nice to know you finally made a friend in that class, looks like Julie owes me 5 bucks. she said it would take you a week but i bet only a couple of days, and i guess i was right.
She pretended to be insulted but couldn't hold back a smile. Mitch had always known her best. it was more like they were brother and sister then friends.

Damen watched the boy come towards them, finding he was obliviously a friend of Dylan's. He smiled warmly to him as he began talking to her. He did find it a little bit strange, but he knew that he was probably just a friend of Dylans. He was overly pleased with Dylan's acceptance.
Sure that's a great time.
He said smiling, and getting up. He waved a good bye to each of them, then started off for the long lunch hour.
