Damen walked into his room, feeling flooding his body. It was quite uncontrolable. He closed the door, locking it behind him. He walked over to his trunk, pulling out his picture. The compationate eyes of his thoroughbred glared back at him. He put it back in it's resting place before picking up his phone.
Hi Dad. It's just me Damen. Yeh things are going... fine. They are going fine. Classes aren't too bad. Yeah, I got 89% on my history story. Yeh, the one about the pilot. No, there was no reason for me calling. Well okay actually there was. I just yelled at someone and now I feel really bad. Okay, I understand Dad. Bye
He hung up his phone, placing it back on his dresser. He wished he had Dylans phone number so he could apologize. He felt so bad.

She watched him walk away and anger flooded her body. she stormed off toward the barn cleaning up her mess and walking back to her dorm. She had a shower and changed before she was finally calmed down. She went down into the courtyard and stared at the door that led into the boys dorm. Damen was probably in there. She walked over opening the door and peaking inside. She couldn't see any teachers so she went inside and ran up the stairs. the rooms had white boards on the doors where the students had written the names of the people in the room. She walked around for what felt like forever until she found a door that had Damens name on it. she took a deep breath and knocked. she looked down at her designer flats waiting for someone to answer the door.

Damen had decided to take a shower to help him cool off. He had just gotten out of the shower, his golden locks sticking to his forehead, dripping water all over the cream carpet. He threw on his t-shirt that he had been wearing and his denim jeans. He was just about to leave for Dylans room when he heard a nock on the door. He peered out of the peep hole, shocked at what he was seeing. Dylan was standing right there. He chuckled to himself at the coincidence. He swung the door open wide.
Hey. Dylan I'm so sorry for acting like I did.
He looked really sorry. He heard a teacher opening the door down at the end of the hallway and quickly brough Dylan into his room. He looked her over. She did look a lot different then when she was in her barn clothes with bits of hay in her long locks.

Dylan looked down the hall and jumped into the room. Damen closed th door and she looked at him sadly. She went up to him and rapped her arms around him, resting her head on his shoulder.
I'm sorry to, it really wasn't any of my business.
She stepped back looking down at the ground. She really wanted to know why he stopped riding, but it wasn't her to decided when he did that. He would tell her when he was ready.

Damen felt Dylan's arms wrap around his fresh smelling body, happy to have her accept his apology. He hugged her slender frame tightly, almost in fear of loosing her. He kissed her soft hair on the top of her head, the fruity aroma filling his nasal senses. He stood embracing Dylan for what seemed like hours, but enjoying every minute. He felt strongly for Dylan, but hoped not to lead on. He smiled, stepping back, giving her room if she needed it. He walked over to the mini fridge his parents pleeded for him to bring with him, and pulled out two cokes.
Do you want anything to eat? I did order a pizza which should be arriving soon.
He handed her the cold can and sat down on his bed, waiting for an answer.

He seemed to not have acknowledged what she said which bothered her, but she tried not to let it ruin the moment. She took the coke happily from him, and laughed a little.
Sure that would be fine if its all right with you.
She sat down beside him leaning against his body and resting her head on his shoulder. There was a knock on the door and she got up and looked threw the spy hole, jumping back wards. Mr. Anderson, the boys dorm director was outside the door with the pizza.
Teacher!!!
She hissed running into the bathroom and locking the door behind her. She turned on the shower. she sat on the counter and waited for the teacher to leave.

Damen wrapped his arm around her slender shoulders as she leaned against him, hugging them slightly. He took a few sips of his coke before squeezing his eyes shut really tightly, the fizz from his pop causing his eyes to water. He laughed a chuckled a touch embarrased. He jumped slightly at the intrusion. He gave Dylan a conserning look as she rushed into the bathroom and slowly crept towards the door. He slowly opened the door, finding himself face to face with Mr. Anderson. A nervous chuckle left his voice before he remembered the purpose of his visit. He graciously took the pizza from him, paying him the right amount. He closed the door quickly before Mr. Anderson could ask any questions. He set the pizza on the counter before nocking on the bathroom door.
You can come out now.
He said returning to the pizza. He opened it up, expecting it closely. It was a cafe pizza which were the best with only peperonies. He smiled and grabbed two paper plates from his trunk. He brought them over to the bed and handed one to Dylan.
Sorry it isn't very good china.
He said chuckling.

She shut off the shower and opened the door peeking out. she walked over to where Damen had the pizza and looked down at it. She was suddenly very hungry she gratefully took a plate from Damen laughing at his comment.
I do go to shows almost every weekend in the summer, I'm used to eating off paper plates...actually paper plates becomes a luxury after a while.
she smiled thinking of the late nights she spent in her horses stall eating a sandwhich...usually without a plate. If she wasn't showing, her parents were and Frank always got a stall along with her parents horses at the venue they were showing at. Frank was on a very strict riding schedule during the summer and she couldn't miss a day. Keeping him fit was her top priority during show season. A lot of the times she wouldn't be home for more then 4 days at a time. Allen there head stable hand exercised and took care of the horses along with the other stable hand while they were gone, but Allen had to stay over night to keep an eye on the horses.
Thanks for the pizza.
She said before taking a bite. It was probably one of the best pizzas she had ever tasted but that was probably because she was sharing it with Damen.

Damen took a small bite of his pizza, chuckling at her comment. Even at the track paper plates were hard to come by. He was usually with his mom sitting in the owners boxes eating their hamburgers off of containers his mother had brought. He smiled as he thought about when he was a young boy and his father used to take him to the track with him every time there was a race, and let Damen sit on his shoulders so he could see. He smiled at Dylan, sipping his coke.
Not a problem. I wouldn't have been able to eat it all.
He glanced out his broad window, the sky darkening. He could see the brief outline of some storm clouds heading their way. It was a good thing that all the dorms were attached in one building. The storm was closer than he thought. A minute later a clash of lighting lit up the whole room, followed by a booming thunder. He jumped slightly. He had always hated thunderstorms.
Wow quite the storm eh?

She looked out the window when the lightning flashed. that storm had come really fast, and the wind was picking up. Storms like this were typical for southern Ontario. Sometimes they even led into tornado's but that rarely happened. She shivered.
I hate thunderstorms.
She shifted closer to him. She had always had an irrational fear of thunderstorms. She thought it was because she was absolutely terrified of tornado's. Suddenly the lights flickered and then everything was dark. She felt herself jump and she let out a little scream. She hated thunderstorms, she hated them, she hated them!

He tried to smile warmly at her, in attempt of some comfort. The truth was he hated thunderstorms too, but he didn't want to worry her. He noticed her fear and wrapped his arm around her shoulders, finishing his pizza. He calmly sat, staring out the window. The sky was a deep navy blue with a hint of aquamarine. He felt Dylan jump as the lights flickered out. He sat there, staring into the darkness before figuring out what had happened. His adrenaline began pumping rapidly, giving him a light headed feeling. He absentmindedly dropped his plate, hugging Dylan tightly. He took a few deep breaths, thinking of what to do. He scrambled around, leaving Dylan alone for only a few minutes before returning with a flashlight.
Um Dylan do you want me to walk you back to your dorm? Or do you want to just stay here for a little longer.
He glanced at his watch, the indiglow back light announced it was 10:02. It was gaining on the late side, and they had no power. This storm didn't look like it was going to give up any time soon. He heard a loud nock on the door. He grumbled before getting up, holding onto Dylan's hand. Right now if he got caught with a girl in his dorm that would be the least of his troubles. He walked over to the door, looking out. It was impossible to see anything so he just opened the door, beckoning Dylan to stay out of sight. Mr Anderson was standing there with a flashlight, sending beams down the hallway.
Are you okay Damen? It's just a black out but the Hydro company is so busy it will be a little while before the lights come back and unfortunately the generator blew out a while ago.
Damen nodded as he watched Mr Anderson walk down the hall to next door. He shut the door behind him, sending the beam of light dancing on the opposite wall.

She closed her eyes and rapped her arms around him. She just tried to concentrate on breathing. when there was a knock on the door she jumped. she backed into a corner and her body was slowly engulfed in shadow. when the door was closed she came out of the corner and went up to Damen.
I should go, Julie's probably freaking.
She smiled at him though he probably couldn't see. the storm was still going strong and she would have to find her way to her room in the dark. she grabbed her flats from were she left them slipping them on her feet. At least they wouldn't be loud when she was sneaking back to her dorm.

A slight shade of dissapointment flashed across his face, but it was too dark to see. He was enjoying her company, but he understood why she needed to go. He forced on his best smile, for when the lightning came, and grabbed another flashlight. He stumbled around his dorm, gathering his shoes. He shone the light at the ground, careful not to shine it in Dylan's eyes. He offered her his arm before opening the door, letting them into the dark hallway. He handed her the extra light and started stepping carefully down the weaving hallway. A shiver was sent down his spine as someone else emerged from their dorm.

She took his hand and they walked into the hall way. she heard a door open and she looked toward the sound. Mitch came out from the room across from Damen's. He seemed shocked to see her there, but then he smiled and shook his head.
Always been a rebel haven't you Dylan.
she looked down at her feet and studied the bottom of her skinny jeans. they were frayed slightly, but thats how they were supposed to be. She looked back up at Mitch.
Well you haven't been the best influence on me, remember you were the one who got me to go to Daniels party with you, and when the cops came we had to run into the corn field behind the house.
she raised one eyebrow and laughed. that was one of the funnest nights of her life.
You just wait tell this summer Dylan, aren't your parents going away for 2 weeks?
My house is not turning into some kind of part palace if thats what your getting at. After my last party i think my parents are going to leave me chained to my bed.
She laughed and looked up at Damen. she didn't want him to think that she was some out of control teenager, but in the small town of Dakota Falls her parties were legendary, they always seemed to get a little out of control.
Well i hope you know what your getting into Damen, she is quite a handful.
He said before turning away and walking down the hall. she laughed and kept walking toward the stairs leading to the main floor.

Damen took a breath as Dylan appeared to know this person. He was glad it was a nice person instead of his other neighbour, who is a touch creepy for Damen's taste. He shone the flashlight down the hall while the two chatted, clearly they were happy to talk to one another and he didn't want to be an intrution. He stood their awkwardly, but contently, wating for them to finish. He smiled as her friend Mitch made a comment to him, but let it pass by him. He smiled warmly to Mitch as he left before continuing down the dark hallway. The only thing that he concentrated on was the beam of light. He walked quietly for a while, thinking about various things, but mainly enjoying the moment. They got to the stairs as his flashlight started to flicker. Thankfully they had come prepared with a second one. He tried to smile calmly to her, but failed to do so. In fact he was quite uncomfortable.
Do you want to hold my arm for support as we go down the stairs?
His accent so heavy, he almost didn't reconize himself.
